David Ikuye – Interaction Design : 3D Sunburst

Who?

David is an Berlin based Interaction Designer with a deep passion for simplicity and innovation. His focus lies on the User Experience of digital services and products that leeds to compelling interfaces. He has a high sense of aesthetics and usability while moving between technology and design. Designing great digital experiences sometimes means going beyond visual to gestures and tangible interfaces.

Besides User Experience he is also passionate about designing for persuasion. Technology has ever had a great influence on what we do and how we do it. In fact, the medium of Interaction Design is the human behavior. Technology can be designed to persuade the user for a better behavior. David is currently working on his M.A. Thesis – Persuasive Interaction Design for sustainable mobility – at the University of Applied Science Potsdam.

What?

The work that David does ranges from conception of digital services and products to the design of visual interfaces. He combines technology and design with both programming and visual skills. He practices both strategic design as well as design for radical innovation. David creates comprehensible interactions that leeds to engaging and meaningful experiences.

The tools for prototyping that he uses are both low and high fidelity. Depending on the stage of progress as well as the medium, he uses HTML/CSS & JavaScript, Processing for visual prototypes and Arduino for physical prototypes.

The medium he designs for varies on the user requirements and/or design goals. He is experienced in mobile, web and application design as well as in designing tangible interfaces.
